Entry fees to Masai Mara is based on the location of the Camp or Lodge at which one is staying at in the Reserve. If staying at accommodation located inside the main National Reserve, the entrance fee is USD 70 per adult per 24 hours and USD 40 per child under 12 years of age.

If staying at accommodation outside the main reserve the entry fee increases to USD 80 per adult per 24 hours (see below) and USD 45 per child per 24 hours. This applies to both the Narok side of the main reserve as well as Mara Conservancy in the western corridor of the Maasai Mara though for Mara Conservancy note that persons under 18 years of age are also extended the child rate.

In case you are wondering how much it costs to go to Masai Mara for a tour, most Masai Mara Safari packages already include the entry fee for tourists so do confirm with your tour operator. Fly~In Safaris are the exception as the fee is usually payable upon landing. Note all information and fees listed here is subject to change without notice and should be confirmed for accuracy with the respective reserve authorities. For Kenya National Park entry fee the official authority is the KWS (Kenya Wildlife Service).

The rate for non resident of USD 70 per adult KID USD 40 STUDENT 40 per 24 hours therefore applies.

 

Resident rates are applicable to residents of Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda and Burundi. ADULT KES 1000 CHILD KES 300 STUDENT KES300

EAST AFRICA RESIDENT RATES ADULT KES 1200 CHILD KES 500 STUDENT KES500

Visitors are required to present their National ID (for Kenyan citizens) or Passport displaying Work permits or appropriate Visas to prove resident status upon entrance into the reserve. Visitors without a valid passport are required to pay the non-resident rates.

 Child rates are applicable to persons 3 to 11 years old. Persons under 3 are free.

****Students rates are only applicable for persons aged up to 23 years old, sponsored by a recognized learning institution, and in possession of a valid student ID and visiting the reserve on a pre arranged school-organised trip or for research authorized by ticketing office of the Masai Mara Reserve in Narok. Students must obtain permission to use these special rates at least two weeks in advance of their visit

Mara Conservancy (Mara Triangle) Entry via Purungat Bridge Gate, Oloololo Gate or Serena Airstrip
