8 Days 7 Nights Kenya and Tanzania Safari Adventure

Day 01: Nairobi – Masai Mara.

After breakfast, we drive to Masai Mara Game Reserve, Kenya most spectacular wildlife sanctuary. Game drive in Mara. Accommodation at the budget camp or lodge.   Estimated driving distance: 6hrs drive

Day 02: Masai Mara.

More game drives in Maasai Mara, Kenya’s most popular game, and opportunities to see herds of elephant, impala, buffalo, giraffe, as well as leopard, cheetah, and lion. Accommodation at budget camp or lodge.

Optional visit to Masai Village for a cultural tour can be arranged – $25 per person.

Also optional Hot air balloon ride can be arranged this morning, then proceed with your game drive – $450 per person.

Day 03: Masai Mara – Serengeti.

Today we leave Masai Mara with lunch boxed for Serengeti crossing the Sirari border (need to have Tanzania visa before arrival in Africa). Change of drivers and vehicles at the border; proceed to Serengeti, game drive in Serengeti (if time permits).
Estimated driving distance: 7hrs drive from exit of Mara to entrance of Serengeti

Day 04: Serengeti.

More game drives in Western Serengeti, including Grumeti River which boasts high concentration of crocodiles and hippos. Accommodation at Seronera Campsite or lodge

Day 05: Serengeti.

More game drives in Serengeti; this time in central Serengeti, in search of large predators and the gentle herbivores on which they feed. Accommodation at Seronera Campsite or lodge. Estimated driving distance: 3hrs drive

Day 06: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Crater.

Very early Game drive in the vast Serengeti plain. After breakfast, depart Serengeti and drive to Ngorongoro Crater. Game drive and Picnic Lunch en route to Ngorongoro Kudu campsite or lodge. Estimated driving distance: 3hrs drive

Optional visit to Olduvai Gorge, the site of the Leakey family discovery of fossils of human and animal ancestors dating back to almost two million years. This cost $37 per person payable direct to the museum.

Day 07: Ngorongoro – Lake Manyara.

Descend into Ngorongoro Crater for game drives, exploring the short-grass plains of the Crater floor, this extinct volcano embraces 100 square miles alive with lion, leopard, rhino, elephant and buffalo. Later in the day, we will drive to overnight in Lake Manyara. Accommodation at Twiga Campsite or lodge. Estimated driving distance: 2hrs drive

Day 08: Lake Manyara – Arusha – Departure.

Game drives in Lake Manyara park; the park is famous for its tree-climbing lions and colorful birds. Later in the day, we drive back to Arusha.
