Day 01: Nairobi- Mt Kenya Bandas (2,900m) 3hrs, 10km walk, 650m ascent.
Depart from Nairobi at 0800hrs, driving through agricultural country up to Chogoria town for lunch. After lunch, we take 4×4 and drive up to the edge of the bamboo forest where we start our trekking through the dense bamboo forest for a distance of 10 km to the Mt Kenya Bandas. Dinner and overnight at the camp. Meal plan ( L, D)
Day 02: Mt Kenya Bandas – Lake Ellis Campsite ( 3,600m) 3hrs, 9km, 700m ascent.
After breakfast and sorting of porter loads we set off up the mountain at a nice and easy pace . A slightly longer walk via Lake Ellis gives scenic views of Mugi, Ithanguni and the Giants Billiards Table, whilst if we follow the river near road head, upstream for about 3 km, the foreground scenery and flora is particularly beautiful. Lunch on the banks of a stream, then it’s time to cut up the left hand hillside to our camp at about 3,600m, well away from any of the more “touristy” areas. Dinner and overnight at the camp. Day 03: Lake Ellis – Minto`s Camp. ( 4,200m) 4 hrs, 12km, 600m ascent.
Similar early start. Again well off the beaten track to follow a ridge up the mountain for about 3 hours to eventually join the tourist track on the normal Chogoria route at an altitude of about 4,100m. Breath taking views over the Gorges Valley and back over towards Ithanguni and the Northern Moorlands. Lunch is served at a small stream crossing, before continuing for a further hour to the Mintos Hut area at 4200m and our night’s rest. Afternoon is spent relaxing at camp, though a 10 minute walk to the “Temple” is well worth the effort. This is a 150 meters vertical cliff that gets its name from the position visitors often adopt when peering over the edge – they look as if they are praying. An early night is recommended as you are attempting the summit next day. Dinner and overnight at the camp. Meal plan (B, L, D)
Day 04: Minto`s – Pt Lenana ( 4,985m)- Old Moses camp. 11-12 hrs, 785 ascent, 1,685 descent, 24km.
Predawn attempt of the summit starts at 0300hrs and you hike for about three hours up to Point Lenana (4985m), the hiker’s summit, arriving there in time to watch the African sunrise. Descend to Shipton camp for breakfast. After breakfast, begin a 5 hour descent via Mackinder`s valley to the Old Moses camp (3,300m). The descent is gentle and it offers ample time to enjoy fascinating scenery which includes the moorlands before reaching the camp. Dinner and overnight at Old Moses camp. Meal plan (B, L, D)
Day 05: Old Moses camp – Nairobi- 2 hrs.
After early morning breakfast, descend for 3 hours to the Sirimon Park gate our driver will be ready to drive you to Lake Nakuru through Thompsons fall where you will have your lunch arriving at sarova lion hill late afternoon. Day 06: Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara.
After breakfast drive to the Maasai Mara Game Reserve, the northern part of the Serengeti – Mara ecosystem and one of Kenya’s most favored game-viewing areas. Lunch at the camp or lodge followed by afternoon game viewing drives.
The Mara is 700 sq miles of open grassland dotted with the distinctive flat-topped acacia trees. It is watered by the tree-lined Mara River and its tributary the Talek River. Day 07: Masai Mara.
Full day game drive. Picnic lunch will be served. The Mara is the land of African legend; Lion are abundant throughout the park, as are the elephants, giraffes, and a various gazelle species and zebra. Cheetah and leopards are also regularly seen and, less commonly, rhino. The annual wildebeest migration, one of nature’s few remaining wildlife spectacles, occurs in the Mara from July to October when the big animals and their predators are to be present in abundance during. Several species of Bee-Eater, the flying rainbow that heads the list of the Mara’s hundreds of bird species.
Optional visit to Masai Village for a cultural tour can be arranged – $20 per person. Also optional hot air balloon ride can be arranged this morning, then proceed with your game drive.
As well as wildlife, the Maasai Mara is also home to many members of the colorful Maasai tribes people who may be seen around the borders of the park – Morans (warriors) loping across the plains, young boys herding goats, or elders grouped under a tree discussing matters of the day. Day 08: Masai Mara – Lake Naivasha.
Morning game drive at Masai Mara. After breakfast drive lake Naivasha, with at Naivasha sopa resort. All meals and overnight at lake Naivasha Sopa resort
Afternoon you can take a walk along the lake or relax along the lake
Optional activities at Lake Naivasha are boat ride to view hippo and a wealth of bird life, fishing – both sport and commercial fishing

Day 09:Lake Naivasha – Amboseli.
Depart Nairobi at 08:00am for Amboseli national park. Lunch followed by afternoon game viewing drives. Amboseli is famous for its unforgettable views of Kilimanjaro and a relaxed abundant population of elephants as well as prolific bird life. Day 10:Amboseli full day.
Morning and afternoon game viewing to see the animals which include, Lion, Buffalo, Gazelle, Cheetah, Wildebeest, Hyena, Jackal, Monkey, Masai giraffe, Zebra and Baboon. Amboseli has a large number of Elephants and many different species of birds. Mount Kilimanjaro background offers good photographic scenery with herds of elephants and other animals. Day 11: Amboseli – Tsavo West.
After breakfast depart for Tsavo West with game viewing enroute, arriving Tsavo in time for lunch. Afternoon game viewing takes you to Mzima Springs which is a fresh water source and a favorite haunt for Hippos and Crocodiles. Climbing Chaimu Crater gives stunning views from either side of the dense vegetation of the park. Animals seen in the park include Zebras, Leopards, Lions, and Elephants that tend to hide in the thickets. The birds include the eagles, buzzards, falcons and red-beaked Hornbills. Day 12: Tsavo west – Tsavo East.
After breakfast drive morning game drive at tsavo west then drive to Tsavo East national park to arrive in time for lunch at the tented camp . Afternoon game viewing drives in this park which covers approximately forty percent of the total area of all Kenya’s National Parks. It is credited as one of the world’s leading biodiversity strongholds, and its terrain provides perfect game-safari territory and is renowned for its large numbers of elephants and the famous man eating lions and Aruba dam. Day 13. Tsavo East – Mombasa.
