Meru National Park Safari highlights include the Former home of Joy and George
Adamson, Adamson’s falls, the grave of Elsa the lioness who was released here and
made famous by Joy Adamson's books. Meru National Park is unspoiled, untamed and
exceptionally beautiful. The park stands at the equator and is bisected by 13 rivers
and streams making it a lush tropical paradise.
Day 1: Nairobi – Meru National Park
Our tour guide will pick you from the airport or hotel drive north to Meru National Park.
Arrive in time for lunch at your reserved lodge or camp. Check-in; relax before you enjoy
evening game drive in this Little visited and utterly unspoilt, few places are comparable
to the remote and rugged atmosphere found here. Visitors can see Gravy’s zebras,
elephants, Bohor reedbucks, hartebeests, pythons, puff adders, cobras, buffalos and
more than 427 recorded species of birds. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge or
Day 2: Meru National Park
Spend the full day in the Meru National Park with morning and afternoon game drive.
Meru was made famous by the book and film Born free that recounted the story of the
lives of George and Joy Adamson, and the lioness, Elsa. Explore the park or more
wildlife and bird watching. Dinner and overnight at the camp or lodge.
Day 3: Meru – Nairobi
After early morning game drive back to the camp for breakfast, then you will check out
and depart to Nairobi
