On day two of your 6 days Kenya safari, enjoy a whole day on a safari in beautiful Amboseli National Park. You explore in your 4×4 safari vehicle, returning to the lodge or camp for lunch between your morning and afternoon game drives.
The name Amboseli is derived from the Maasai word ‘Empusel’, which translates roughly as “salty, dusty place” which explains why the elephants love this park so much. The park is also home to around 1,500 elephants, including some of the biggest in Africa. Many elephant herds and bulls have been the subjects of the longest-running study of elephant behavior in the wild.
In addition, Amboseli National Park is where biologists first identified elephant herds as close-knit families, and where elephants were observed forming friendships, celebrating births, and grieving the death of a family member. You’ll return to your lodge for dinner and overnight after your game drive.
Day 3: Amboseli –Nakuru Transfer to Lake Nakuru National Park, Evening Game Drive
Day six of your 6 days Kenya safari will begin with an early breakfast at the lodge.
Afterward, you’ll have your packed lunch, check out, and leave the beautiful Amboseli National Park behind. Journey northwest for about 6 hours with breathtaking views of the Great Rift Valley and Lake Naivasha to Lake Nakuru National Park, one of the soda lakes on the valley floor.
Lake Nakuru
On arrival, you’ll check in at your lodge and freshen up. You’ll rest for a while, before embarking on a game drive at about 4 pm. Lake Nakuru has maintained its status as an ornithologist’s paradise, with over 400 bird species, including pelicans, cormorants, Goliath herons, Verreaux’s eagles, African fish eagles, and Hamerkops.
The Nakuru National park
The park is globally known for its (decreasing) flamingo population, which was made famous by Denys Finch Hatton’s flight over it in the film ‘Out of Africa’. Nakuru is also one of the greatest spots in East Africa for White rhinos.
Wildlife in the park
It is also an important sanctuary for the critically endangered black rhinos as well as the endangered Rothschild’s giraffe, Hippos, buffalos, Zebras, Leopards, Lions, Elands, Waterbucks, Baboons, Impalas, Colobus monkeys, Gazelles, and Hyenas.Dinner under the stars at the budget hotel/lodge.
Day 4: Transfer to Maasai Mara Reserve, Afternoon Game Drive

MASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE
Arrival in Masai Mara in time for lunch. Check-in at your booked lodge or tented camp and freshen up. Have some time to rest after having some hot lunch. At around 4 pm, proceed for a thrilling afternoon game drive.
Big Cats
Masai Mara is an area rich in predators – Big Cats, Hyenas, and Nile Crocodiles. Big dark-maned lions are the best-known residents of the Maasai Mara and there are estimated to be about 3000 in the greater Mara ecosystem. The Mara lions have been made famous by the popular BBC TV series, Big Cat Diaries.
THE GREAT MIGRATION SEASON
There are no disappointment if you have come to the Mara to witness the Great Migration. The spectacle of about 2.5 million wildebeest, zebra, and gazelles, traveling along their annual circular route between the Serengeti in Tanzania and the Masai Mara, is one of the ten wonders of the World. You’ll return to the lodge or camp at sunset and enjoy a relaxing evening, with delicious meals.
Day 5:Full day game drive Game drive
Day five of your 6 days Kenya safari, you’ll wake up early in the morning and enjoy an extensive game drive in the Masai Mara, which is arguably Kenya’s most popular game sanctuary. Here, you can easily view a lot of wildlife, including impala, gazelle, topi, eland, giraffe, elephant, buffalo, and warthog, as well as the big cat species like lion, leopard, and cheetah.
Biggest draw to the Mara is, of course, the annual migration of millions of wildebeest, gazelle, and zebra from the Serengeti plains.
The migration is best seen from July to October. Other animals you can see include bat-eared foxes, jackals, and spotted hyenas, as well as hippos and crocodiles. The reserve is also rich in birdlife with about 470 recorded species, including vultures, common ostrich, eagles, secretary birds, cranes, storks, Hamerkop, and hornbills.
